Food Vendor Information
Date and Food Service Hours: Saturday, March 22 7:00am-4:00pm
Vendor Fee: $150 or 25% of gross sales, whichever is greater.
Vendor Spaces: All vendor spaces will be located along the parade route throughout downtown Jackson. Food vendor locations will be determined upon mutual agreement with the parade food/beverage coordinator. Based on past experience, there don’t seem to be any “bad” locations. Sales volume seems to be more related to each vendor’s operation rather than where they are located.
Electricity: Each vendor will need to provide their own electricity.
Water: Each vendor will need to provide their own water and water disposal.
Drinks: You can sell whatever non-alcoholic drinks you want. You will need to provide your own ice.
Mississippi State Sales Tax: You will be required to remit 8% Mississippi State Sales Tax to festival organizers for submission to the Department of Revenue.
Insurance: Each vendor is required to have a commercial general liability insurance policy. Furthermore, each vendor must name four parties as additional insureds on their commercial general liability insurance policy (complete additional insureds information will be provided, if invited to participate).
